Nothing. The airport was deserted. The drop off at National at JFK was easy. The guys we dealt with at Stewart and JFK were efficient, courteous and friendly and answered all our questions.

Why do you even have a section for a consumer to reserve the car they want when you NEVER honor it once they arrive? I reserved a luxury SUV, Mazda or alike and was offered a KIA upon arrival. A KIA for Christs sake. I drive a Jaguar. God will concur, a Kia is NOWHERE near “luxury” nor is the plastic Volkswagen I ended up in.

Vehicle was very dirty and smelled like at dog. AC issues and battery on key fob died. I had to get Freon, I had to get a battery for key fob.

We couldn't pick up the car because they wouldn't accept our payment cards. The only took credit cards, and it had to be used with the magnet stripe. As it didn't go through, I called up the bank and was told that the magnet stripe, by European law, wouldn't work in the US. As the Alamo reception would not accept debit cards and would not do either punch enter transaction (punch in the numbers from the card) or chip, we couldn't pick up our car.

Hotwire is listing Alamo at SWF for car rentals. I booked on hotwire one month in advance for a 1-way rental from NY to Fla. I get to SWF to find out they are only open when they have a reservation from an arriving flight. UGH! There is no one there and when you call Alamo 800 #, they say, oh yes, sure they are open, have airport security page them as they must be just away from the desk momentarily. Clueless. I call the number listed on the notice pasted at the desk. They tell me to get to the Enterprise location 5 miles away, they will honor the reservation. I wait 30mins and pay $12 for a cab to Enterprise at 63 Route 17K in Newburgh, only to be told they will honor the reservation, but not the price. Two very unfriendly, very unhelpful men could not have cared less about my predicament. UGH!! I call Alamo 800# again and they are sorry but since covid has effectively closed the airport, they are not offering what they call local rentals to anyone not arriving via plane. When I tell her hotwire/priceline/kayak are still offering rentals at SWF, she says she is sorry, but cannot control what they do. I learned my lesson NEVER RENT from ALAMO or ENTERPRISE.

The proper information on your website would be nice. The location i was allowed to book at online did not even have anyone working the location .drove all the way to the pick up location to and empty service desk. called to find out that they do not service customers who are not fly ins , which should have been disclosed because I then had to find another service that cost me over $300 dollars more for my needs and an additional $200 charge deposit on top of it.I could have been stranded .do better.

I wa not able to pick up the car! Drove to the airport to get the car and there was so no one there! There was a small sign that redirected me to an enterprise in town. When I got there they tried adding $300 to my fee. Left without my car. Never using Alamo or enterprise again.
