How to get from the airport to the city centre?
The airport is only 7km away from the centre, making transport quite cheap and easy after your flights to Lisbon. One of the best ways is to jump on the metro which leaves directly from the airport. It can take around 30 minutes and sometimes you might have to change lines depending on your ultimate destination, but overall it’s a quick and affordable way to travel.
There are also several buses that all operate to and from the airport however you can only board these if you have no more than 1 piece of hand luggage with you. Lastly, you can grab a taxi for around €10- €15, and that becomes cheaper if you’re travelling with friends. A note to remember is you can normally find a cheaper taxi from the departure Terminal rather than the arrivals.
