Problems, problems, problems. I reserved the car, as I do in almost all of our trips, but we wanted my husband to be the driver, as we ALWAYS do. This presented countless problem at the Hertz counter at the pickup in Zurich airport. We finally arranged to have my husband listed as the driver instead of me but then when he dropped it off, (I was already elsewhere in the airport), the discussion started all over again and they wanted to charge him almost $200 for a second driver when I never once drove the car. Poor communication. I will never rent again with this combo Kayak and Hertz.

Car was at main Bahnhofplatz, we expected pick up to be at airport, so had to take 20 min. Train, then walk for 15 min in 36 degree heat. Hard to do at age 75. Drop off okay. The car itself was really good, a little tight for luggage.

I reserved and paid 2/3rds of the rental up front for an automatic transmission. I was given a manual transmission. The original pick up location was Lucerne Switzerland but Hertz closed that office so I had to catch a train to Zug Switzerland to pick up the car. Pick up was relatively easy and Elvira was very helpful. Drop off in Brussels was difficult and the person checking me in did not speak any English.

Great by all means . The staff at lucern as well as at the return at Zurich airport was super efficient and well meaning. The email was wrongly spelt at the time of booking so I had no document whatsoever till I went to return but girl took only a couple of minutes to clear me. I also went down to the desk at the office at airport and Mohammad was super efficient in giving me all details . On the whole Sixt was great experience

When I got at the airport the car rental company told me that there computer was down due technical issues, but they directed me to Zurich City without reimbursing me for the over €100 the price of the taxi 🚕 They provided me an upgraded model of the car, Mercedes instead of Renault, but I ended up paying double of the original rental price🤦‍♂️

This was a Chinese car. This was marketed as a VW Golf or similar car. It was about as far away from it as imaginable - comfort, engine, transmission, etc. Sixt should explain or notify when Made in China cars are going to be rented. Personnel was friendly and car and facilities were clean.

It takes a bit long for the queue at the pickup desk to go down. Maybe some people don't do the advance check in? It is always quite quick when I get the the desk when I have checked in in advance. I think systems could probably be improved to make the time at the desk quicker.

Charged me for damages that were already on the car - dropped it off in the early morning so I was not there to dispute this in person, but I am in the process of doing that now. Make sure to take photos of any damage you see on the car (as I did) because they do not check the car or make any note of it when they hand it over to you.

Amazing experience with Thrifty! The car was perfect, new, and better than expected! I want to note, thou, that the drop-off was a little chaotic because it was not easy to find a parking spot near the office and we also didn't know how to leave the contract in their letter box, and took a while to get a confirmation of drop-off from them, which made me a bit nervous not knowing if they had found the car. But apart from that, I would 100% recommend them!
