Two hours before pickup we received an email from Enterprise that our reservation was cancelled because there were no cars available. We immediately called the local office but received no further information or help. This left us with cancelling an important part of our Germany trip. I have trusted KAYAK with recommending Enterprise car rentals but I will not do so again. Grade F!

Pickup was very fast with the car being available immediately and the agents asking minimal questions. Dropoff was a bit tricky since it wasn't obvious where you're supposed to park the car, and my dropoff location was different from my pickup location.

No communication from the company After paying 25 euros for a taxi to get to the pick up location, the reservation I had was cancelled without any reason because I arrived 5 minutes later because of the traffic jams.

There was an additional ~30 EUR charge on top of what I had paid through expedia/kayak, which came as a surprise. The drop off location in Salzburg wasn’t immediately obvious in terms of how to find it and return the car (city location near Hbf).

The staff was friendly, but I think that she didn't disclose all available options. In particular, I had reserved a car for around EUR 280, but I ended up paying more than EUR 600. To be fair, I chose a car with GPS, which was not included in the original price. That said the total price should have been closer to EUR 400 because some additional insurance was imposed on me because I was led to believe that there was no other option.

I turned up at the location specified and. NO-ONE was there!!! I walked around the entire parking lot, saw all the SIXT parking spots, but not a single person was there. I attempted to call the number in the email but only got an automated response that gave zero options to speak with anyone. I left a message too and NO-ONE got back to me. Horrible. I’m asking for a full refund of my rental fee at this time

Europcar was great! It was my 1st time using them. They explained everything clearly, provided me with a new car for my drive from Munich to Zurich. Pick up and return were smooth as can be. Invoice was accurate. I highly recommend using them!

I had a reservation for a compact car at 16:00. Flight was delayed so arrived 20:00 at the counter and was told they only hold cars for 1 hour past reservation time(at an airport rental office where flight delays are not uncommon?). Had to take a larger vehicle and was charged for the difference...

When in a foreign country and issued a car that looks like the inside of an airliner cockpit without any documents or instructions on how to drive or operate it competently, I had to request a replacement with more familiar simpler operation.

The staff was probably racist. I observed her behavior to other German-speaking customers. The staff tried to provide a SW car which I rented sedan. ZERO customer service and handling. For the upgraded final car, they told me that the car was white, but the car came black, and in the key sticker it was still written white for the black car. I requested the staff to talk with their supervisor but staff said I cannot speak with a supervisor. Finally, the staff told me that the car was at -3 level of the parking, which they were supposed to give me the car in front of the office. I went to -3 to have the car but the car wasn't there. Then I went to -2 again, the car wasn't there. Then I went to the office again to ask the staff where was the car. The answer was: I DON'T KNOW! Who would know the place of the car if the staff wouldn't know? It was a nightmare!!!

The experience was terrible and I will never again use Avis. The car size I reserved 7 months ahead of time. They wanted to give me a much smaller car that would not have worked for our family of 5. I thus had to rent from Sixt car rental and pay last minute price that was more than 3 times the rate reserved for the Avis car. This is pathetic customer service
