Cheap Car Rentals in Tulum

I was asked to pay $45 for an insurance on a car rented for $33, at an exchange rate that was more than 10% below going rate (so in effect $50). The “insurance” would have an $800 block put on my credit card, which was more than the insurance included ($540 block) in the car rental I payed for with you. Obviously since I would risk $800 if something were to happen to the car, or something that was already there was “discovered” on my return. So I decided not to go ahead with the rental as I don’t want to engage in business with criminals, who don’t honor the contracts that they have engaged in (with you). Without purchasing the “protection” offered by the criminal enterprise, they told me that they wouldn’t hand me the keys to the car without a $3000 block on my credit card! I have no hope of getting the $33 returned that I payed for the car, and I really don’t care, but be advised that you are dealing with thieves and liars who don’t honor the commitment of your rental promises. It shows badly on your goodwill that you engage with such “business partners” and most likely you will subject yourself to future class action suits. :)
