|Jul 2025It’s was very very exceptional. My English is limited but I want to thanks the guy who give me service. He’s name is Carrel if i remember. An excellent service !!! I received help from his boss to. Her name was Fabiola, a very good manager. She helped me when I lost the key of the car… So, for sure I’ll be back. Thank you Alamo!!!

|Mar 2023Everything was okay except the strong smell of old cigarets and the mat under our feets was so wet that my friend had to wash her tote bag after. Except that, everything was ok.

|Mar 2023I had no issues in terms of the service provided by the Alamo reps in both Dorval and at Ottawa Airport. The only issue I had was that I had reserved a Toyota RAV 4 and yet they gave me a smaller car and charged me the same price. The drive from Dorval to Ottawa was not very comfortable in the small Mazda.

|Jul 2023When we arrived, we walked up to the Budget counter, stated our name, couple of signatures and and within 5 minutes we were in our vehicle and on our way, excellent service. On return, we pulled in the service agent checked the mileage and printed our receipt and we were on the way home! Excellent service.

|Jun 2023They told me that they would not honour my reservation. I was left stranded in Montreal. All of the airport car rental agents were out of cars to rent yet kayak continued to pretend that this was not the case and continued to allow people to make useless reservations for cars online even though there were no cars to rent. You are negligent in allowing this to happen thus stranding passengers who think that they have a rental waiting for them inky to find out that all of the rental companies are overbooked and won’t rent out prereserrved cars. There is no point using kayak ever again. I will always book directly with the rental company.as they know their actual in stock availability, not some fake list of available rentals that kayak displays.

|Jun 2023I liked the good and fast service. Car option was perfect for my trip

|Apr 2023An option to pre-pay for any actual fuel used. The only option presented to pre-pay included a full tank of gas, regardless of actual consumption. As I only used 1/4 tank, this option had no value to me.

|Mar 2026Getting to the rental car area was cumbersome: long walk, then still had to take a shuttle. Rental agreement was in French, but one of the staff spoke good English and was able to help me understand what I was signing.

|Jul 2023No me dejaron hacer el Pre check, por el precio acordado con ellos, para luego cobrarme en el mostrador 600 euros más. Un timo organizado

|Jun 2023Pick up at airport was extremely slow, long line and only 1 available agent. We had reserved an economy car but were told they were out of that size and we had to take a Buick Escalade. We chose an economy car because it would mean using less gas, instead we got a car that used more gas and cost more to fill up. We were not happy about this experience.

|Feb 2025Fantastique, especially when Maude preheated the car so warm for me on the freezing cold day in Montreal , and removed the snow covering the car to verify upon return, highly responsible and professional!

|Apr 2025I purchased the insurance at the time of booking to arrive on site and be told it isn't valid and that I need to purchase Europcars insurance, which was 2x the price with a terrible $3500 deductible. The company I purchased insurance with when I completed my reservation warned me of this behavior. On site the salesperson disclosed they work on commission, and it is so clear this is a scammy loophole to increase their sales and make it more difficult on the customer to then cancel the other insurance. Will not book with Europcar in the future.

|Nov 2024Scam! I rent the car based on unlimited km. I get to the location to be told it is not. I decline the insurance because i have a credit card insurance to be forced to pay 12$ a day. Ended up paying 66$ above the price and returning the car a day earlier because i ran out of kms! Plus the agent had no idea how to use to system!

|Aug 2024I liked nothing the owner and the young kid that worked there were ignorant, unhelpful, unfriendly, condescending and in my opinion scam artist. That your company promotes these people as a legitimate business is appalling. They don't pick you up with a shuttle you have to uber over to them.....which you pay for!!!!! Slow service took me 1 1/2 hours from the time I call them to pick me up for the car to actually get a car. It took less time to fly from Atlanta Georgia than get my car. Car selection and cleanliness was awful. You feel very uncomfortable in the area and the broken-down home that it is based out of I am a man and felt uncomfortable can't imagine being a woman and being dropped off at this location. I got the insurance online because I did not trust this fly by night car rental and when I got there, they said they don't take that insurance, and I would need to contact that company to get my money back. Then they forced me to buy their insurance because they would not accept my insurance. AWFUL!!!!!!!!! How Kayak puts their name with this company is stupid in my opinion and because of that I will never do business with either of you again.

|Jan 2024IT would of been better if Economy Rent a Car in Dorval was open pass 5PM. I landed in Montreal after 5pm so I was not able to get the car I rented for the weekend. I had to rent a car from another company. Nowhere on the website that I booked the car on did it indicate the rental company was closing at 5pm. Do they not think that there are no arrivals or departures after 5pm at Montreal Airport? Not happy at all .Will be looking for a full refund.

|Aug 2023it was really bad, our reservation was made through priceline for for 2 days with unlimited mileage. however, upon arrival we were choked that the agent told us our reservation didn’t include unlimited mileage if we are planing to leave the city and pulled some weird policy that wasn’t mentioned neither on priceline nor on their own website and since we had already paid we couldn’t look for a new place and they refused to honor our rental terms and told us to deal with priceline if we aren’t happy, but we either take the car with their revised price and add ons or forgo what we had paid already. when i called priceline they said that we had to deal with the rental agency to resolve this. basically we got screwed and i am not booking from either places ever again … however i will mention that the agent at the front desk gave us a bit of extra miles and a discounted rate per km but doesn’t change the fact that we got robbed …

|Feb 2023The only thing to like was that compared to other rentals, the signing of documents was quicker. Everything else was a hassle and you always felt like something was going to go wrong. Very inconvenient location relative to the YUL airport and did not have the right car.
